John G. Elbin
John G. Elbin, 64, Artemas, died Friday, December 30, 2011, at his home.
He was born September 18, 1947, in Artemas, a son of the late W. Kelly and Mabel R. (Clingerman) Elbin. On July 1, 1967, in Berkeley springs, he married Joan L. (Moyer) Elbin.
Along with his wife, he is survived by a son, Johnnie “Kenny” Elbin, married to Jennifer (Gibson), Everett; four grandchildren: Ashley and Trinity Elbin; Kandyce and Damien Fleming; siblings: Delma Zirkle, Little Orleans, Md.; Eugene Elbin, married to Linda, Warfordsburg; Alverta Papa and significant other Jack Carbaugh, Artemas; Leanna, married to Donald Potts, Artemas; Floyd Elbin, married to Connie, Artemas; and Leon Elbin, married to Janet, Artemas.
He was preceded in death by the following siblings: Dale, Harold, Ralph, Kenneth, Warren Elbin and LaDonna Dennison.
He was of the Protestant faith. He was employed at Blue Triangle, Everett, as a debarker and operator for 32 years until retiring in 2007. He enjoyed car racing and hunting.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, January 4, at 11 a.m., at Fairview Christian Church, Artemas. Pastor Milton Morris officiated. Burial was made in Fairview Cemetery, Artemas.
