A banquet was held on Saturday to honor two local men who were chosen by the Fulton Chamber of Commerce as the Man of the Year and the Citizen of the Year. Rev. Loy Garber was the recipient of the Man of the Year; and Ralph Mellott was presented the Outstanding Citizen.

Marriage licenses: Roger Ramsey of Orbisonia and Patricia McQuait of Mc- Connellsburg; Thomas Deshong of Needmore and Mary Shotts of McConnellsburg; Lex Mellott of Warfordsburg and Virginia Kennedy of Cumberland, Md.

The Teen Encounter Tabernacle of York was the scene on December 4 of the marriage of Miss Sandra Shotts to Larry Eisenhart. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Shotts of Waterfall, and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Eisenhart of Dover.

Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Garland of Mc- Connellsburg announce the engagement of their daughter, Susan, to William Reed Hicks, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Hicks of Chambersburg.

Winter temperatures took quite a drop from 60 degrees to below zero on Sunday morning.
