The kill during last week’s threeday antlerless deer season was

“about normal” here in Fulton County, according to local Pennsylvania Game Commission Wildlife Conservation Officer Mark Crowder.

Whitetail Ski Resort opened to good crowds and rave reviews last Friday, December 20. Whitetail, just a short drive for Fulton countians, is located just south of Mercersburg off the Blairs Valley Road. When all slopes are open, the resort will boast 14 trails.

Marlin Hollinshead of the Central Fulton School Board was elected chairman of the Fulton County Area Vocational-Technical School’s Joint Operating Committee at the committee’s annual reorganizational meeting December 19. He replaces N. Parker Knepper of Central Fulton.

McConnellsburg High School Student Council and S.A.D.D. sponsored the 12th annual Snowball dance on December 14. Named Yule King and Queen were Melody Morgan and Matt Hann.

Movie star Danny DeVito visited Raystown Lake last Thursday and was given a tour by park personnel. He wanted to see possible sites for a scene in his upcoming movie on the life of former Teamster Union boss Jimmy Hoffa, in which a sea plane lands in the lake and the occupants dissembled onto a dock to go hunting.

Mr. and Mrs. Curt Lynch of Harrisonville announce the birth of a daughter, Mandi Alaine, on December 19.

Nichole Miller and William Coons were united in marriage September 21 at the American Legion picnic grounds in Mc- Connellsburg. Parents of the couple are Steven Miller of Three Springs and Carol Hoffman of Pleasant Hall and Althea Coons of Shade Gap and William Coons of Columbia, Md.

Births at the Medical Center: a daughter to Mr. and Mrs. Edward Lininger on December 13; a son to Mr. and Mrs. Leon Souders of Big Cove Tannery on December 17.
