On the last Saturday of November the volunteers who help at the Historical Society museum were rewarded for their efforts by curator Edie Coleman. They all enjoyed a minitour of the Bedford Springs Omni Resort where their picture was taken.

The lobby of the resort displays some of the old hotel registers with such guests as James Buchanan and other influential people, along with their servants. The registers give a glimpse of how people of wealth lived and the prices they paid, which seemed astonishingly low to us. There are old pictures on the hallway walls that show how folks took their leisure at the old hotel.

Today it is quite plush, and the gift shops were enjoyed by all.

After lunch at the historic Jean Bonnet Inn west of Bedford, the group visited the Old Log Church at Schellsburg, built in 1806 and noted for its wineglass pulpit. The last stop was the gift shop at the Buffalo Farm west of town.
