Flossie E. Everts

Flossie Effie Everts, 75, Warfordsburg, died Thursday, December 15, 2011, at Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, Va.

Born August 8, 1936, in Hancock, she was the only daughter of the late Alonza E. Brakeall and Minnie Mae Wink Brakeall Johnson and the widow of Thurman E. Everts, whom she married in July of 1955.

Prior to being a loving mother and homemaker, she was employed by Superior Dairy of Hagerstown and Fleming Oil Co. of Hancock.

She was al lifelong member of St.Thomas Episcopal Church in Hancock, where she held the position of assistant treasurer for more than 30 years.

She is survived by two sons: Mark L. Everts of Hancock; Lee E. Everts and wife Lori, Needmore; and a brother, Edward Otis Brakeall and wife Adele, Hancock.

A service of the Holy Eucharist will be held Thursday, December 22, at 11 a.m., at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, Hancock. Rev. F. Allan Weatherholt officiated. Burial was made in Tonoloway Primitive Baptist Cemetery, Needmore.

Grove Funeral Home in Hancock was in charge of arrangements.
