Community Victory Garden
The local Fulton County Master Gardeners would like to invite the public to participate in a new community victory garden within McConnellsburg Borough. The victory garden is intended to provide garden plots for individuals interested in tending to their own vegetable gardens with the support of training from local Master gardeners. The garden will include demonstration planting areas as well to display different approaches to vegetable, herb or flower gardening. The local master gardeners will provide weekly training during the growing season for community members as well as those wishing to tend a plot of their own within the space provided. There will be a small fee associated with this program ($30) to defray material costs for the 2012 season. A meeting of those interested will be held at the beginning of the year to discuss the program intentions for the 2012 growing season. All are welcome and can contact the Fulton County Extension Office and speak with Donna at 485-4111.
