Vehicle Strikes With Deer

A northbound 2002 Nissan X-Terra struck a deer along Route 655 on Friday, November 18, state police reported. The 9:21 p.m. accident occurred near the intersection of Wooden Bridge Road in Taylor Township.

Driver Paul C. Ficken, 52, of Greencastle, was wearing a seat belt and escaped injury, as did his 58-year-old female passenger, who was not identified by state police. The disabled vehicle was removed from the crash scene by Tin Man Auto Body. Charges are pending further investigation, state police said.
