SF Interact Club Collects Items For Operation Christmas Child
The Interact Club at Southern Fulton High School collected small toys, school supplies and personal care items at school for one week and received enough items to pack 22 shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child. The Christian organization, Samaritan’s Purse International Relief, has sponsored this outreach annually since 1993. Kelsey White, vice president of Interact, volunteered to lead the project, make posters for the school and take the donations to the collection site in McConnellsburg, to begin their journey to children around the world.
Interact is Rotary International’s service club for young people ages 12 to 18; clubs complete at least two service projects per year, one of which furthers international understanding. The Interact Club at Southern Fulton High school is sponsored by the Hancock Rotary Club and their advisor is Heather Kaufmann.
