Hustontown

By Kate Berkstresser

We still are enjoying beautiful weather, although rain is predicted. We hope the hunters have good and safe hunting and also have good luck getting that buck. We also hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving Day.

Our sympathy is extended to the family and relatives of Linda Hoffman, who passed away last week.

John Graeber of North Carolina stopped by at Kate Berkstresser’s on Sunday. He also is visiting with Nancy Thomas and folks and plans to do some buck hunting this week.

Hustontown Fire Co. wishes to thank everyone for their support in all areas of our fundraisers. We appreciate you and your support, help and any donations. We hope to see you December 17 at the next shooting match.

Hustontown Fire Co. will sponsor a 410 shoot only on Saturday, December 17, at 1 p.m. First and second prizes will be awarded. Shells will be furnished.

The fire company will also sponsor an open stage on Saturday, December 17, at 6 p.m. The kitchen opens at 5 p.m. Everyone is invited to come share their talent or just come and enjoy the talent of others. Now is the time to let your star shine. Free admission. Bring a friend and enjoy the evening. We hope to see you there.

Thanksgiving dinner guests with Harvey and Pat Berkstresser were Shawn Berkstresser of Slippery Rock and Kate Berkstresser.
