Margaret E. Stotler
Margaret Elsie Vanorsdale Stotler, 83, Hancock, died Tuesday, November 15, 2011, at Morgan County War Memorial Hospital in Berkeley Springs.
Born September 8, 1928, in Martinsburg, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Harry Oliver and Emma Artella Sheppard Vanorsdale and the widow of Clyde W. Stotler, who passed away July 2, 1993, and whom she married April 29, 1946, in Baltimore.
She was a homemaker and of the Protestant faith.
She is survived by two daughters; Shirley Golden and husband Maple, Hancock; Debora Shives and husband Chris, Needmore; one son, Clyde W. Stotler Jr., and wife Judy, Hancock; two sisters: Nina Widmyer of Berkeley Springs, and Mary Robinson of Martinsburg, W.Va.; two brothers: Donald Vanorsdale, Hancock, and Melvin Vanorsdale, Warfordsburg; grandchildren: Tabatha McFadden, Terry Golden and wife Buffy, Michelle Booth and husband Jamie, David Stotler and Lynn Shives; great-grandchildren: Ashley Glessner and husband Matt, Josh Golden, Laura Golden, Brandon McFadden and Hailey Booth; and one great-greatgrandson, Isiah Glessner.
She was preceded in death by four sisters: Rosella Lanehart, Janet Mills, Emma Bishop and Wanda Mellott.
Funeral services were held Thursday, November 20, at 11 a.m., at Grove Funeral Home, Hancock. Burial was made in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown.
