35 Cats Euthanized After Being Taken From PA Home
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. (AP )– Animal welfare officials say they had to put down 35 cats seized from a central Pennsylvania mobile home.
WHTM-TV reports just two other cats could be saved after being taken out of the home in Chambersburg on Wednesday. The rest had to be euthanized because of various health problems.
Officials at the Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter say some of the animals had severe eye and respiratory infections. Others had feline leukemia.
Animal welfare officers say citations will be filed against the residents of the home.
