Roy Fraker is spending some time with his mother, Mrs. Mae Fraker, of Burnt Cabins, while work is slack in Philadelphia.

Word has come to relatives at Burnt Cabins that Mrs. Hazel McGowan McCarthy of Philadelphia is the mother of a new baby girl.

George E. Wagner of Chambersburg has retired after 40 years and 4 1/2 months of service with the Pennsylvania Railroad.

Wilbert Gries, 20 of Brentwood, is in Chambersburg Hospital with a bullet wound in the hips, received last Thursday while hunting deer in the Narrows near Knobsville. He was accidentally hit when members of the party he was hunting with sighted a deer and all began shooting.

Raymond Wible of Knobsville suffered a broken right arm on Sunday morning when he fell from a milk truck.

Miss Goldie Fields suffered a broken arm and dislocated elbow when she fell down the steps at her home on the John Sheets property.

Mrs. Edgar M. Krug, publisher of The Fulton County News, has been appointed chairman of the Better Homes Committee for Mc- Connellsburg.

Mervin Mort and Evelyn Brant were married December 2.

R. Theodore Carson and Gladys Hill were wed November 24.
