Congratulations to Justin and Tessa McGarvey Strait, who were married on Saturday, November 19, in Cito United Methodist Church. A reception was held at Celebrations Unlimited following the ceremony. They are honeymooning in Florida.

Abagael McGarvey, daughter of Tim and Deb McGarvey, observed the 12th anniversary of her second liver transplant on November 19. Abby is now 15 and most of the time her health is good. Keep her in your prayers. She is now in ninth grade at McConnellsburg. Abby does a lot of cooking for herself. Her diet is quite limited because of her surgery.

St. Paul Lutheran Church was pleased to have visitors on Sunday from the Sharon Mennonite Bible School.

Mariah Truax had an appendectomy at Fulton County Medical Center on Monday.

Area school children will have a break from the classrooms for a few days after Thanksgiving. Have fun!

Audrey Slates had stomach surgery this week at Chambersburg Hospital.

Galen and Vicky Tachett and children of Warrenton, Va., visited with her parents, Norman and Hazel Mellott of Big Cove Tannery, and attended the wedding of Justin and Tessa Strait on Saturday .

Kenny and Brenda Deshong observed their first wedding anniversary on November 19.

Avon and Tressa Deshong will observe their 56th wedding anniversary on November 26.
