Tom and Mamie Streightiff attended the annual Chestnut Ridge Hunting Club meeting at the Allensville Family Restaurant on Saturday evening.

Buzz and Bea Covert and John and Mary Mumma celebrated Bea’s birthday this weekend at Gibble’s Restaurant near Greencastle.

Tom and Mamie Streightiff, Brent Carlson, Travis Madden, Donna Locke and Mike, Chris and Kevin Pintozzi and friends Brad, Danielle and Nichole visited with Steve and Karen Grissinger and family this past week.

Some of the visitors traveled to Sideling Hill on Saturday evening for the black bear weigh-ins. It was noted that one was killed near Mt. Carmel development.

Ramon and Tammy Martin and friends attended the Trans-Siberian Orchestra concert on Sunday evening in Hershey.

Tim and Shirley Henry recently attended a birthday party for Bob Painter at the Painter’s Auto Mart building in Allenport.

Walnut Grove Senior youths held their annual Fall Lock- In last weekend. Costume judging, gross games, pumpkin carving, wiffle ball and video game tournaments were some of the bustle going on. A good time was had by all.

Orbisonia United Methodist Church will be hosting the community Christmas cantata again this year on Sunday, December 18, beginning at 3 p. m. Everyone is invited to attend.

Orbisonia's “Christmas in Our Hometown” is only one weekend this year, so plan to attend the Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving! You will be truly blessed.

Donations of clean and ingood condition coats, hats and gloves for all ages and sizes can be dropped off at the offices of ORJMA and Penn Central Physical Therapy weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Penn Central P.T. or the Orbisonia UMC Outreach Center on Tuesday evenings. The items donated may bless you when you see someone in our community that you helped keep warm!

Immanuel Bible Church will be having its annual Christmas program on Sunday evening, December 11, beginning at 6 p.m.
