Trucking Terminal To Bring 150 To 200 Jobs To Pa.
MILTON, Pa. (AP) – Officials in central Pennsylvania have approved a trucking terminal that they say will bring 150 to 200 jobs to the area.
The ( Sunbury) Daily Item (http://bit.ly/vxTSG1 ) says Minuteman Environmental Services will be locating the plant on 23 acres in the Milton Industrial Park formerly occupied by Integrity Building Systems.
The company provides water and drilling support services to companies operating in the Marcellus Shale region.
The Milton borough council has approved a conditional use request for the project.
Company officials say trucks that haul drill cuttings from drilling sites would come through the facility but can only stay 24 hours, and the company hauls water to drilling sites but doesn’t haul wastewater back.
The company last summer scrapped its planned move to a neighboring township following opposition from residents.
