McCbg. FFA Off To A Busy Start

Autumn has already begun and the McConnellsburg FFA is busier than ever. The FFA began planning its many yearly activities and already kicked off the annual FFA fruit sale.

In the past month, the FFA has attended the 2011 National FFA Convention, went on a corn maze/hayride trip, helped peel apples and that’s not even half of it. The McConnellsburg FFA float placed third in the Fulton Fall Folk Festival parade. In addition, many individual members are busy as well. The club members have started their new SAE books for the upcoming year and some are sending their last year’s books away to try and receive awards.

Kristin Hawbaker completed her application for her Keystone Degree, which will be presented at the 2012 midwinter convention at the PA Farm show. Krista DeShong has completed her records to receive her area degree that is to be awarded at a banquet in December.
