M.E.S. Character Counts Students Named

McConnellsburg Elementary has continued its character education program this year. It is believed that character counts so each month a different character trait is promoted. In October compassion and how to care for others, doing kind and thoughtful deeds and putting other people’s needs before their own was worked on. Each child listed below was chosen by their teacher in demonstrating the qualities of compassion. They received a certificate and a small prize. Students named are:

Jaelyn McFadden, Kaiden Bard, Cabe Batdoff, Rachel Schooley, Hayden Schetrompf, Madisyn Culler, Eric Tomlinson, Nevaeh Gartland, Jasmine Strait, Sage Will, Andrew Mellott, Hailee Russell, Jason Fox, Nicole Treml, Bronson Smith, Erika Eichelberger, Trinity May, Mason DeShong, Sawere Truax, Lily Truax, Kole Truax, Essence Robinson, Zeb Henry, Meredith Elvey and Shandi Black.

Traits which will be worked on this school year are citizenship, compassion, fairness, honesty, integrity, perseverance, responsibility, respect and self-discipline.
