VFW Post 655 Donates $2,000 To Alumni & Friends

McConnellsburg FOVA/VFW POST 655 presented a $2,000 check to the McConnellsburg Alumni & Friends Association on Saturday, November 12, at its annual redneck basket bingo to help the association offer Special Olympics a home where they can have a room for meetings and storage. The group will also be able to use the gym for all its practices and competitions. The annual donation will not only help the Fulton County Special Olympics but also help the association with the annual overhead costs of managing the building, offer more youth activities and help preserve the museums. More sponsors are needed to help this great cause. Anyone who would like to help, please contact Kathy J. Kendall at 485-0221 or Robert Snyder at 485-4851.
