Toby and Dena McGarvey observed their 21st wedding anniversary on November 10.

Diane and Ken Swope, Needmore, Jean and Hap Swope, Needmore, Ida Strait of town and Lisa and Wade Kemp, Shippensburg, attended the beautiful wedding of Jessica Blair and Aaron Huber in Leesburg, Va., on November 11. The reception was held following the wedding in Middleburg, Va. It was hosted by her mother, Tina Lindsey, of Fayetteville, Pa.

Michelle Sowers of Strawberry Ridge recently had gallbladder surgery in Chambersburg Hospital.

Lee and Freda Vickroy will celebrate their 61st wedding anniversary November 18.

Church members in the area have been busy filling shoeboxes for needy children around the world.

Lynn Miller and Alma Anderson spent a couple of days last week sitting with Lynn’s grandchildren in Clarion, Pa.

Pleasant Grove Christian Church held a special service on Sunday evening. Kevin Spencer sang and spoke. It was very enjoyable.

McConnellsburg Methodist Church held a celebration dinner November 12 at Fulton Theatre, along with a hymn sing and a special visit from the “Bag Lady.”

McConnellsburg High School Class of 1956 held its 55th class reunion on Saturday evening at the Foot of the Mountain Restaurant.

Visiting with Lee and Sharon Glazier this week is their daughter,Tricia and children Brittney, Jared and Morgan of Massachusetts.

Sally Sowers remains in Fulton County Medical Center recuperating a little more each day. She was injured in an automobile accident last month.

Other patients in the hospital and hoping to go home this week are Mary Duvall of Fort Littleton and Kathleen O’Connor of Knobsville.

Sympathy goes out to the family of Marvlene Hartman of Chambersburg and formerly of Fulton County, who passed away last week.
