Bob and Petie Miller will observe their 49th wedding anniversary on November 10.

Ruth Souders, a resident in the long-term care unit in Fulton County Medical Center, will be 99 on Sunday, November 13. Her health is rather good for her age. She is taken for a car ride about every day by her daughters.

Greg and Tina Gress will observe their 31st wedding anniversary on November 15.

Remember to honor veterans on Friday, November 11.

Congratulations to the Public Opinion 2011 Sideling Hill League girl all-stars: Nikki Fleming, Libby Strayer, Dakota Deneen, Kylie Zittle and Sarrah Pollock. Also, congratulations to coach Toby McGarvey, who was named the Coach of the Year.

Sympathy goes out to the family of Helen Rank of Mercersburg, who passed away last Wednesday.

A memorial service was held for Matthew Barclay on Saturday in Siloam United Methodist Church.

Public Opinion weekly honor roll student-athlete was Emily Watkins for Mc- Connellsburg volleyball.

Bucky and Pam Carmack celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on November 6.

Visiting with Junior and Millie Truax are their daughters, Betty of Florida and Vicki of Martinsburg, W.Va. Junior is a patient in Fulton County Medical Center with heart complications.
