Special Services Dr. Moody Adams from Baton Rouge, La., will speak at Pleasant Ridge Church of the Brethren on Sunday, November 13, at the 10:30 a.m. service and also Sunday evening at 6:15 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. In his new book, “Christianity in Crisis,” Dr. Adams declares that the rapid changes in government, the church and the family are largely the result of a nation ignoring half of the Great Commission – “to teach and practice everything I have commanded you.” The church is located 2.4 miles north of Needmore on Rt. 655. On behalf of the congregation, pastors Roger Truax and Mac Miller extend a welcome to all.

Special Service Knobsville United Methodist Church will host “Visitors from the Past,” with Luella Krieger, on Sunday, November 20, 2011. A 7 Luella will do her dramatic portrayal of “Mary-the mother of Jesus.” Everyone is invited to attend. There is no charge, but a freewill offering will be taken. The church is located on Waterfall Road, McConnellsburg.

Thanksgiving Service A community Thanksgiving service will be held Wednesday, November 23, at the Freedom Lighthouse. The worship service will be at 7 p.m., following a meal at 6 p.m. The event is sponsored by the Freedom Lighthouse, the United Methodist Church and Trinity United Church of Christ. The community is invited to attend. Freedom Lighthouse is located on Path Valley Road across from the Milky Way Restaurant.

Pioneer Club/Youth Group Pioneer Club/Youth Group will be held at Rock Hill Mennonite Church from 7 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. on November 23, December 7 and 21, for ages K-4 thru teens. For additional information contact 485-9074. Everyone is invited.
