FR Field Hockey Team Supports Breast Cancer Awareness

Members of the Forbes Road Lady Cardinals field hockey team recently donned pink to pay homage to breast cancer awareness and head coach Carol Cline. The pink uniforms were donated by Troy and Sharon Parsons, of the Waterfall area, who also generously donated pink T-shirts to Belleville Mennonite that were worn during a recent matchup between the rival teams. Cline as well as Belleville Mennonite’s varsity coach were both presented flower arrangements by the teams in honor of their fight against breast cancer. In addition to the special uniforms, Lady Cardinal teammates and members of the Class of 2013 Emily Horton and Samantha Clippinger have been conducting various events to raise money for breast cancer awareness. As part of their senior project, the girls have organized food stands for home field hockey games and held a “Pink-A-Thon” at Missy’s Hair Salon in Hustontown.
