FFA Members Attend National Convention
Six members of Mc- Connellsburg FFA Chapter attended the 84th National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, Ind., October 18 to 22. They attended the first and fourth general session and visited some local businesses, including Kelsay Dairy.
At the dairy the students were able to tour the facilities and talk to the herd manager, who spoke about new technology that is being used to help save money and produce higher quality milk.
In addition, the members spent three days touring the career show and learning about different agriculture businesses and colleges that they could attend.
“It was a lot of fun and I’m going to miss being able to go” says senior Ashley Penwell. There were more than 45,000 members and guests present and more than 500,000 FFA members nationwide.
