McConnellsburg 2

McConnellsburg and Everett battled for Thursday’s Sideling Hill League match over five sets before the Warriors prevailed for the 3-2 victory. Emily Watkins rallied for 18 kills, two blocks and 12 digs to lead the Spartans, who also received six kills and 14 digs from Jessica Nero. Rikki Green added 12 kills, and Gabby Danner tallied 36 assists and 12 digs. Marleigh Jennings and Becca Hahn finished with 17 digs and five aces, respectively.

Hyndman 3

Southern Fulton 1

Southern Fulton came out strong to win the opening set against Hyndman last Thursday, but it was the Hornets who would eventually prevail, winning the nonleague match 3-1. Whitney Ritz led her teammates in kills with 11 and also chipped in two blocks. Jenna Palmer added nine kills, and Emily Barton tallied three blocks and nine service points. Maggie Deneen added 24 assists, 11 service points and two aces. Allison Spade finished with 15 service points and two aces.

Chestnut Ridge 3

McConnellsburg 2

It took five sets to decide the fate of the two top teams in the Sideling Hill League Tuesday evening. Chestnut Ridge prevailed for the 3-2 win over the McConnellsburg Lady Spartans, who were led by Emily Watkins with 15 kills, three blocks and 12 digs. Rikki Green chipped in 12 kills and five aces, and Gabby Danner handed out 21 assists and added 12 digs. Jessica Nero tallied 16 digs, and Marleigh Jennings followed with 14 digs and three aces. Becca Hahn finished with three aces as well.

Northern Bedford 3

Southern Fulton 1

Southern Fulton managed to win one set Tuesday night before falling to the Northern Bedford Panthers 3-1 in Sideling Hill League action. Maggie Deneen handed out 12 assists and had seven service points, and Allison Spade led her team in aces with three. Emily Barton tallied four kills, and Whitney Ritz followed with three kills and three blocks. Jenna Palmer contributed three kills and nine digs. Allison Spade rounded out the match with nine service points.
