Pa. Agency Says Kings Gap Park To Be Expanded

HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) – Pennsylvania state officials say a state park outside Carlisle will be growing by nearly 1,100 acres.

The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources announced Thursday that Kings Gap Environmental Education Center will expand to include a forested area that has remained largely untouched for some 100 years.

The addition brings the size of the facility to more than 2,500 acres, including 16 miles of hiking trails and a stream with a large native trout population.
