Fulton County Residents Invited To Take Part In ACS Relay For Life


As Hercules said, “We dance, we kiss, we schmooze, we carry on, we go home happy. What do you say? Come on.” Join in to kick off the 2012 American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Fulton County. This community celebration is open to anyone who wants to learn more about Relay For Life and how to get involved. Everyone is welcome!

The kickoff will be held Sunday, November 13, at 2 p.m. at Fulton County Medical Center in the Pearl Room. Guests will celebrate the successes of last year, get revved up for this year and most important celebrate cancer survivors in Fulton County. Activities, music, food and fun will all be involved. Also, a special guest is coming in to do a couch potato exercise activity!

The American Cancer Society Relay For Life is an overnight community celebration where individuals and teams camp out, dance and take turns walking around a track relay-style to raise funds to fight cancer. At nightfall, participants will light hundreds of luminaria around the track in a moving ceremony to honor cancer survivors, as well as friends and family members lost to the disease.

This year the Relay For Life of Fulton County is Disney-themed and will feature kids games, entertainment, activities, food, fun and festivities. With new leadership and an eager committee, it is sure to be a fantastic event! The American Cancer Society 2012 Relay For Life of Fulton County is May 18-19, 2012, at McConnellsburg High School.
