A second mandatory truck stop will be installed about halfway down the east side of Sideling Hill Mountain and could be operational in about two weeks.
Tina Marlene Booth, 16, of Warfordsburg, narrowly scaped more serious injury on Friday twice in a short space of time. While squirrel hunting the gun she was carrying accidentally fired, causing a crease wound on the forehead starting from above the right eye to the hairline but not penetrating the bone. Then while being taken to get medical aid by her husband, Dale Booth, their pickup truck was involved in a collision with another car. She escaped injury, but her husband received facial lacerations.
