A large crowd attended the covered-dish meal and the church conference at Knobsville United Methodist Church on Sunday evening.
Hustontown Fire Co. will sponsor food auction Saturday, October 29, at 2 p.m. The kitchen will open at noon. Frozen foods, canned goods and lots more will be offered for auction. Mike Sullivan will be the vendor.
Hustontown Fire Co. will sponsor a shooting match Saturday, October 29 at 1 p.m. Shells will be furnished and first- and second-place prizes will be awarded.
The Kindred Spirits will hold an auction for Delmar Mellott who is battling M.S. on Saturday, October 29, at Green Hill Sewing Club. Covered dish dinner will be at 5 p.m. Auction will be at 6 p.m. Drop off donated, gently used and new items and baked goods to be sold on the day of the sale at the Sewing Club after 11 a.m. Please come and support this worthwhile fundraiser. Auctioneer will be Max McQuade.
Hustontown Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary will sponsor a benefit dinner for one of its members on Sunday, November 6, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Dorothy Shotts is a recovering victim of cancer and the auxiliary is hoping to help her in this way. The menu will consist of spaghetti, salad, garlic bread, cake and beverage. Cost is adults $7 and children 5-10 years $3.50. Please come out and support this worthy cause.
