Two Pennsylvania Game Commission officials escaped harm when their vehicle struck a whitetail deer along Fingerboard Road in Union Township last Friday morning.

Kevin L. Mountz, 55, Hustontown, was travelling westbound when his 2007 Ford Expedition struck the deer at 12:05 a.m. Mountz and passenger John R. Graham Jr., 33, of McConnellsburg, were both wearing seat belts and were not injured. The sport utility vehicle suffered moderate front end damage.
