Clyde R. Mosemann

Chambersburg, 91

Clyde R. Mosemann, 91, of Menno Haven, Chambersburg, formerly of Warfordsburg, entered into rest on Wednesday, October 5, 2011.

He was the husband of the late Anna Burkhart Mosemann, who died in 2009. Born in Quarryville, Pa., he was the son of the late Philip and Ida Kreider Mosemann.

A self-employed farmer, he was a member of Pleasant Ridge Church of the Brethren, Needmore, and also was a missionary for 12 years, serving in South America under the auspices of the Mennonite Board of Missions. He did Civilian Public Service during WWII.

He is survived by two sons: C. Richard Mosemann Jr., married to Linda Mosemann, Warfordsburg; Barry married to Linda Mosemann, Senoia, Ga.; two daughters: Leticia Petersheim, Patricia married to Merv Kauffman, both of Greencastle; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He was the last of his family.

Interment was held at 1 p.m. Saturday, October 8, 2011, at Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery, Lancaster. Memorial services were held Sunday, October 9, 2011, at 2 p.m. from Pleasant Ridge Church of the Brethren, Needmore.
