Pecks To Have Tractors On Display
In celebration of Fulton County’s Fall Folk Festival, Gary and Nancy Peck of 4117 Breezy Point Rd., McConnellsburg, will open their property up to the public for their sixth annual John Deere display of 2-cylinder diesel and gas series tractors ranging from 1939-1959. This is one of the largest known private collections of its kind in the country – right here in Fulton County!
Gary has been an avid John Deere tractor collector and restorer for more than 35 years – starting his collection with an A in the 1970s.
Twenty-nine of his favorites are currently on display on the hill in front of the Peck home.
Some are restored, most recently his favorite, a 1956 60 wide-turn, and others are on his “when-I-get-around-toit” list.
If you love antique John Deere tractors, long oldtimer talks about “the way it used to be,” browsing Nancy’s flea market items – follow the signs off Route 522 onto Breezy Point Road near Knobsville. It is a little over a mile on the right – you will see their collection from the road. Cross the bridge between the antique John Deere painted wagon wheels and enjoy. Restroom facilities are provided to the public.
