FCMC Giving Away Free Mammogram Screenings
Fulton County Medical Center is hosting the final women’s health fair in its “New Year, New You” campaign on Tuesday, October 18. This final fair for the year will be focusing on breast cancer awareness. Radiologist Frank D’Amelio will be presenting a lecture on “Mammography, it’s that time of year again.” To sign up for the free lunch and lecture, please call 717-485-6115.
Free screenings available October 18 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the main lobby will consist of cholesterol, glucose and blood pressure screening as well as osteoporosis screening. In addition, Dr. D’Amelio and the diagnostic services staff will also give away a total of 10 free mammogram screenings. Five will be for baseline mammograms for women 35 years of age and older who have never had a mammogram and five for women 40 and over who have not had one in the past year. Winner will be picked from a random drawing and tests will be scheduled at a later date.
As always, there will also be giveaways, door prizes and women’s health information. The FCMC Auxiliary will have a “pink” raffle and a Mary Kay representative will be on hand with products to purchase. The auxiliary is the proud sponsors of the free Accudexa screenings for osteoporosis.
Anyone who cannot make it to the fair and has questions regarding the financial aid assistance program, please call Tessa Rasp at 717- 485-2850.
