Francis T. Ford
Francis Thomas Ford, 67, Pittsburgh, formerly of Crystal Spring, died of a heart attack in August, 2011.
He graduated from Southern Fulton High School in 1961.
He attended Washington and Jefferson University before enlisting in the United States Army Special Forces (Green Berets), and was stationed in Okinawa during the Vietnam Conflict. He earned both Bachelor of Arts and Master of Business Administration degrees from university of Pittsburgh.
He was a certified public accountant and was employed with Prudential Real Estate Co. in Pittsburgh for 37 years before retiring in 2008.
He enjoyed classical music and gardening. He was a member and supporter of the Carnegie Museum and Pittsburgh Symphony.
Surviving are his daughter, Allyson Ford, Los Angeles, Calif.; his mother, Pauline K. Johnson, Everett; six sisters: Polly Moffat, Stuart, Fla.; Marlene Maroulis, Gaithersburg, Md.; Barbara Foor, Bedford; Theresa Beugless, West Chester, Pa.; Mary Burton, Forked River, N.J., and Agnes Nagy, Midlothian, Va.; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his former wife, Mary Jacobs Ford; his father, Francis R. Ford; and stepfather, Bruce N. Johnson.
Memorial service will be held at a later date.
