Turkey Dinner Breezewood Volunteer Fire Co. will hold a family-style turkey dinner October 9. The meal will begin at 11 a.m. Meals are available to eatin or carryout.

Republican Dinner The Republican dinner will be held October 28 at Husotntown Firehall at 7 p.m. Anyone interested in tickets please contact a committee member or call 717- 485-9498.

The Democratic fall dinner will be held October 29 at Needmore Firehall at 6:30 p.m. Tickets at the door or from committee people.

Pancake Supper Bedford Chapel Church on Rt. 643, 4570 Flickerville Road, Warfordsburg, will hold an all-you-can-eat pancake supper Saturday, October 22, from 4:30 p.m. until 7 p.m. Menu includes pancakes, buckwheat cakes, sausage, sausage gravy, puddin meat, scrambled eggs, coffee, and juice. Everyone welcome.

Turkey Dinner An all-you-can-eat turkey dinner will be held Sunday, October 30, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church across from the covered bridge on Rt. 522 between Shade Gap and Orbisonia. Serving will start at 11 a.m. and continue until 1:30 p.m. Cost is adults $8; takeouts $8; children ages 5-11, $4; and age 4 and under free.

Trinity United Church of Christ in Fort Loudon will hold its chicken, ham and beef potpie supper Saturday, October 8, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the community center at Hawbaker Drive and Mullen Street. Eat in or order carryouts. Menu includes pepper slaw, applesauce, pickles, cake, punch and coffee.

A ham and oyster supper will be held October 22, at Cove Valley Youth Camp, 5357 Little Cove Road, Mercersburg.

St. Paul Lutheran Church at 220 North Third Street, McConnellsburg, will serve a free meal the second Tuesday of each month from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Come and enjoy good food and fellowship. Note: no free meal in October but will continue again in November.
