Weeks – Keefer United In Marriage

Mr. and Mrs. J.R. Weeks Mr. and Mrs. J.R. Weeks On July 2, 2011, at Sideling Hill Christian Church, Sarah Marie Keefer and J.R. Weeks were united in marriage by Pastor Carl Sipes.

Parents of the couple are John and Patty Keefer of Needmore and Wayne and Sharon Weeks of Taneytown, Md.

The bride’s gown was an A-line, hand-woven silk ivory bodice with a sweetheart neckline, adorning the neckline were handmade rosettes. The bride attached her great-greatgrandmother’s wedding buttons to the back of the dress.

Serving as maid of honor was Amy (Spade) Elias. Bridesmaids were Jamie Spade. The dresses for Amy and Jamie were made by the bride’s aunt, Dorothy Spade. Flowergirl was Bryleigh West.

Serving as best man was Wade Elvey. Ushers for the ceremony were the brides’ uncles, Jim Spade and Charlie Mehring. Helping to park cars were Joel Elvey, Jason Hawkins, Conrad Glazier and- Codey Christy.

Amy Elvey was the wedding coordinator and Sarah Cowey was the guestbook attendant. Meredith Elvey was the program attendant. Leslie Williams served as hair sylist and Dixie Paruch made the flower arrangements and decor.

DeAnn Hawkins sang two solos during the ceremony. Lori Glazier read the “Hands Ceremony” and Kay Meredith provided piano music. Photography was by Jennifer Rotz and videography by Sharon Whiteside.

Sideling Hill Ladies Aide served a meal in the fellowship hall during the reception and Linda Bolden made the couple’s cake and cupcakes for the guests.

The bride is a 2006 graduate of Southern Fulton

High School and a December 2009 graduate of Shippensburg University, majoring in elementary education. She is currently finishing her Master’s in special education and working as a long-term subsitute at Southern Fulton Elementary.

The groom is a 1998 graduate of Francis Scott Key High School and served four years in the U.S. Army. He is employed as a corrections officer for the state of Maryland.

After a cruise to Florida and Bahamas, the couple reside in Frederick, Md.
