McConnellsburg continued its winning streak last Tuesday with a decisive 3-0 Sideling Hill League win over the Fannett-Metal Tigers. Leading the Lady Spartans was Emily Watkins with 16 kills, two blocks and four aces, while Rikki Green added seven kills. Teammate Gabrielle Danner chipped in 19 assists, four digs and three aces, and Jessica Nero rounded out the day with four kills.

Chestnut Ridge 3

Southern Fulton 0

Chestnut Ridge swept the Southern Fulton Lady Indians in three straight sets last Tuesday evening for yet another Sideling Hill League win. Whitney Ritz continued with strong play during the Indians’ loss with eight kills, three blocks, six service points and two aces. Emily Barton and Abby Hawkins added four kills and 15 assists, respectively, while Jenna Palmer and Maggie Deneen chipped in seven digs and five service points.

Chestnut Ridge 3

The McConnellsburg Spartans were handed their first loss of the fall season last Thursday when Chestnut Ridge took the Sideling Hill League match 3-1. Emily Watkins led with 16 kills, five blocks and five digs, and Rikki Green tallied 14 kills and five blocks. Meanwhile, teammate Gabby Danner totalled 28 assists, 10 digs and two aces. Marleigh Jennings posted 11 digs and two aces.

Northern Bedford 3

Southern Fulton 0

Southern Fulton was topped in three straight sets last Thursday while facing off against the Northern Bedford Panthers. Emily Baron tallied four kills during the Sideling Hill League loss, and teammate Whitney Ritz chipped in three kills, five blocks, six service points and two aces. Abby Hawkins totalled 10 assists, while Melanie Deneen finished with nine digs, two aces and eight service points.

Meyersdale 3

Southern Fulton 0

Southern Fulton had several near misses Monday night but it wasn’t enough to defeat Meyersdale. Dropping the non-league match in three straight sets, the Lady Indians were led by Whitney Ritz with four kills, three aces and nine service points. Emily Barton and Jenna Palmer chipped in five kills apiece, and Barton also had two blocks. Melanie Deneen contributed 12 digs, and Abby Hawkins finished with 16 assists.
