Maryland Driver Cited

A Potomac, Md., driver was cited for driving too fast for roadways conditions following a single-vehicle accident along Great Cove Road last Friday evening.

Pennsylvania State Police in McConnellsburg reported Paul N. Doremus was travelling southbound when he rounded a curve in the Dublin Township too quickly. Doremus’s truck went onto the berm where it struck an embankment, spun and struck an embankment again. The vehicle slid and rolled onto its roof, police added.

Doremus was wearing a seat belt and suffered minor injury during the 9:05 p.m. accident.

State police were assisted on the scene by the Hustontown Volunteer Fire Co.
