Connellsburg Municipal Water Authority, told the “News” Tuesday that conservation measures instituted last week have helped. “The water storage level is coming back and is at the best level it has been in two weeks,” Stenger said.

Things are changing in the Southern Fulton schools. There’s the high school renovation project, the construction of a new elementary school, a new district superintendent, several new school board members coming this winter. And, a new high school principal. Gary Wenzel, a native of Williamsport, took over as the new high school principal at Southern about one week before school began in August.

Administrators from the Juniata College School District visited McConnellsburg High School last Friday to observe advanced placement classes, which utilize satellite television capabilities. McConnellsburg is the only school among the 12 school districts that make up the Tuscarora Intermediate Unit, that is offering advanced placement classes by satellite.
