Hustontown

By Kate Berkstresser

Another beautiful fall weekend was great for everyone to be out and enjoy.

We extend our sympathy to the family, relatives and friends of Betty Malot, who passed away on Sunday. She was a grand lady and will be greatly missed.

A nice crowd attended the hymn sing service at Knobsville United Methodist Church on Sunday evening. Everyone enjoyed the good evening of song and music. There was local talent and also a group from Everett and Breezewood.

The time is fast approaching for the great Fulton Fall Folk Festival. We hope it will still be nice for the occasion.

Happy birthday wishes to Brooke Sheeder, September 21; Harold Berkstresser, September 28; and Kristin Torcaso, September 28.

Heidi Peck and daughter Haley visited with Kate Berkstresser last Friday evening.

The annual Lynch reunion will be held Sunday, October 2. The meal is at 1 p.m. at Needmore Firehall. All the Lynch folks and relatives are welcome to come out and enjoy the afternoon. Bring covered dish and something for the auction. Hope to see you there.

Household Hint: Hand care. To help heal chapped or cracked skin on hands, apply over the counter 1.5 percent hydrocortisone cream three times daily after washing hands.
