Virginia Residents Uninjured In Crash

Three Virginia residents escaped harm when they attempted to exit Interstate 70 and turn onto Route 522 late Saturday night, September 17.

According to state police reports, 18-year-old Michelle Bonilla, of Manassas, tried to exit Interstate 70 in Warfordsburg at 11:06 p.m. when she failed to stop at the stop sign. Bonilla’s 2010 Honda Civic crossed Route 522 and struck a guiderail along the western berm. Following initial impact, the vehicle struck a boulder in a business parking lot.

Bonilla and her passengers, Karen Aguiler, 19, of Manassas, and Vanessa F. Gomez, 22, of Bristow, were wearing seat belts. Bonilla will be cited for a stop-sign violation.
