Two Women Injured In Crash

Two women suffered minor injuries on Wednesday, September 14, when their southbound 2000 Chevrolet Impala struck a guiderail along Route 522.

Driver Joyce N. Bailey, 26, of Hancock, Md., and passenger Lisa M. Bailey, 44, of Mercersburg, were transported to Fulton County Medical Center via Needmore Ambulance after the 5:55 p.m. crash.

Joyce Bailey, according to state police, lost control of her car while rounding a curve in the Belfast Township road. The car spun across the road and into a guiderail along the eastern berm before spinning back across the roadway just south of Lakewood Lane and into an embankment, police added.

Joyce Bailey will be charged with driving a vehicle at unsafe speeds.
