Man Sustains Neck, Back Injuries
A St. Thomas man was transported to Fulton County Medical Center last Thursday afternoon after having suffered minor neck and back pain during a single-vehicle crash.
According to state police reports, Corey L. Smith, 20, was wearing a seat belt when the 3:33 p.m. accident occurred along old Route 30. Smith, police said, lost control of his 1990 Ford Ranger while rounding a curve in the Todd Township roadway. The truck spun 180 degrees and struck a guiderail before sliding into the guiderail a second time.
Smith will be charged with driving a vehicle at unsafe speeds. State police were aided on the scene by McConnellsburg EMS and fire police.
