The descendants of Clyde and Dora Ott enjoyed a gettogether recently at Craig Paylor’s farm on Dutch Corner Road. Hopefully it will be an annual occasion.

McConnellsburg American Legion hosted a meal/rest stop for the Ride 2 Recovery cyclists on their way to Shanksville on Thursday. Around 350 were riding.

Ellis and Shirley Yingling celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary on September 17.

Victor and Evelyn Gobin celebrated their 64th wed- ding anniversary on September 13.

A bridal shower was held Saturday for Tessa McGarvey in St. Paul Lutheran Church social room. It was given by her bridesmaids and relatives.

Get well wishes to Sandy Anderson, who was injured in an automobile accident last week, and also sympathy to the family on her mother’s death from injuries. She was a passenger in the car.

The family of the late John Harr held their reunion on Sunday at the VFW picnic grounds in Big Cove Tannery.

Brian and Carla Shafer observed their eighth wedding anniversary on September 20.

Pleasant Ridge Church of the Nazarene held its annual pig roast on Saturday at the campgrounds. A concert featuring the Master’s Four quartet of Lemasters was held following.

Sinoquipe bluegrass and country music jamboree was held on Saturday at the camp.

The first day of autumn is Friday, September 23.

The descendants of the late Harold and Irene Hall held their annual reunion at McConnellsburg Lions Club Park on Saturday, September 10.

The family of Louise Long treated her to an 80th birthday dinner on Saturday at Bob Evans.
