Man Wanted In Maryland Taken Into Custody
A Washington, D.C., man was taken into custody Saturday evening along Interstate 70 after state police discovered a warrant had been issued for his arrest out of Howard County, Md.
According to state police, 35-year-old Larry Theodore Pickett was pulled over during a traffic stop at 7:29 p.m. while operating a Dodge Ram truck through Brush Creek Township. Pickett, police said, was allegedly travelling 87 miles per hour in a posted 55- mile- per- hour speed zone.
Pickett was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Wendy Mellott, who set his bail at $20,000 straight.
