Western Pa. Sitter Stole Nephew’s Medicine
UNIONTOWN, Pa. (AP) – State police have charged a western Pennsylvania woman with stealing two medications used to treat her young nephew's hyperactivity while she was babysitting him.
Online court records don't list an attorney for 44- year-old Kimberly Flight, whose home phone was disconnected on Monday.
Troopers near Uniontown charged Flight on Wednesday, a day after the boy's mother noticed that 10 pills each from his prescriptions for Ritalin and Metadate were missing.
The woman told police that Flight was the only person with access to the medications while she babysat him from Aug. 18 to 29.
Police tell the Herald- Standard of Uniontown that Flight acknowledged taking the medications while watching the boy because she thought “they would make her feel better.”
