Harold and Betty Hershey will observe their 63rd wedding anniversary on September 18, and Ted and Kellie Gress will observe their seventh anniversary on September 18.

The descendants of the late Virgil and Margaret Pittman held their annual reunion at the VFW on Sunday.

Clyde and Luemme Hull of Meadow Grounds celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary with friends.

The Lutheran churches of McConnellsburg, Big Cove Tannery and Little Cove held their annual picnic at Mc- Connellsburg Lions Park on Sunday, with around 75 attending. Everyone enjoyed listening to the music of the Gospel Travelers from Frederick, Md.

A full house was in attendance on Saturday night to hear the country music at Celebrations Unlimited in Fort Littleton.

Kathleen O’Connor of here and daughter Shelley of Pittsburgh and Andrea Hill and children of this area attended the wedding of Shawn Daughenbaugh of Martinsburg, Pa., on Saturady. He is the grandson of the former Cindy Kies and the late Harry Hill.

John and Juanita Hockensmith of Little Egypt Road held an open house on Sunday for their 70th wedding anniversary. They were married September 12. John is 93 and Juanita is 88. They are the parents of four sons and two daughters.

McConnellsburg Class of 1955 enjoyed a luncheon at Hoss’s in Chambersburg last Wednesday with five class members and two guests attending.

Mack and Wynell Shives attended great- nephew Doug Watson’s wedding in Pittsburgh on Saturday. He is the son of Ed and Valerie Appleby Kave of Williamsport, Pa., and a grandson of Don and Betty Strait Appleby of Greencastle. Mack and Wynell also visited with their grandson, Devin, at P.I.A.
