Conestoga Christian 4 Forbes Road 3

The Forbes Road Cardinals dropped their season opener Saturday with Conestoga Christian prevailing in non-league action by the score of 4-3. Gabriel Goizueta scored the Cardinals’ first goal of the season on a penalty kick, which was followed with goals by Chase Shaw and Matthew Bricker. Goalkeeper Dalton Gilbert finished out the game with six saves in goal.

Windber 4 Southern Fulton 3

Saturday’s season opener ran into overtime for the Southern Fulton Indians, who fell to Windber by the narrow score of 4-3. Chase Horton, Dristen Mellott and Josh Hill all had goals for the Indians, who received assists from Horton and teammate Carter Black. Courtney Strait rounded out the nonleague game with 11 blocked shots in goal
