Neva M. Fleming
Neva Mae “ Granny” Fleming, 87, Hustontown, died at 11:20 a.m., Saturday, September 3, 2011, at her home.
Born February 25, 1924, in Clay Township, Huntingdon County, she was the daughter of the late Harvey N. and Ruth (Marks) Black. She was married to Wayne Elmo Fleming on October 9, 1947. He preceded in death on May 21, 1996.
She is survived by a son, Fred N. Fleming and wife Sue and a daughter, Janet R. Sipes, and husband Norman, both of Hustontown; four grandchildren: Becky Everts, Danyell Dickinson, Bobbi Jo Shoop and Nelson Fleming; eight great-grandchildren: Chris Everts, Doug Everts, Nattalee Dickinson, Cody Shoop, Loreli Fleming, Gretchen Fleming, Jake Voegal and Caleb Voegal; and one brother, Charles Black, Newburg.
A brother, Denver Black, is deceased.
She was a member of Clear Ridge United Methodist Church, Hustontown.
A homemaker and farm wife, she also belonged to the PA Farm Bureau and Clear Ridge Community Building Association.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, September 7, 2011, at M. R. Brown Funeral Home, Hustontown. Pastor Betty Secrest officiated. Interment was in Clear Ridge Cemetery.
