Five Injured In Crash

Two drivers and three passengers suffered minor injuries during a collision in the parking lot of Giant Food Store on Sunday, August 21, Pennsylvania State Police reported.

Emmalee L. Kann, 21, of Orrstown, entered the parking lot travelling northbound at 4:45 p.m. and turned into the path of an approaching 2004 Dodge Durango driven by McConnellsburg resident Tina M. Fama.

Both vehicles, police noted, were travelling at an estimated speed of 5 to 10 miles per hour when the crash occurred.

Kann and Fama, 32, were not wearing a seat belts nor were Fama’s passengers, a 15-year-old McConnellsburg boy; 28-year-old Alice E. Jefferson of District Heights, Md.; and Kayla M. Marcum, 18, also of McConnellsburg. All five individuals were injured and required transport to Fulton County Medical Center.

Kann will be cited for failing to yield right of way.
