Police: NJ Man Died While Stealing Copper In Pa.
WARRINGTON, Pa. (AP) – Police say a New Jersey man found dead last week in Pennsylvania was trying to steal copper wiring from the generator at a vacant industrial building.
Warrington police say 21- year-old Patrick Dembrowski had used bolt cutters to open a gate before being electrocuted while cutting a wire inside the generator at a former manufacturing facility on August 16. Investigators say a woman who was with Dembrowski at the time called 911.
Lt. Joseph Knox tells the Bucks County Courier Times that Dembrowski’s death underscores the danger of stealing material from industrial sites.
The Woodland, N.J. man was pronounced dead at the scene. The Courier Times report (http://bit.ly/ocSp8J ) says Dembrowski was buried earlier this week.
